Business and Professional Women (BPW), founded in 1919, promotes equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information. With 30,000 members and more than 1,500 local chapters nationwide, BPW is represented in every congressional district in the country.
The Bellevue, WA chapter of BPW holds a monthly luncheon on the third Wednesday of each month which includes networking, chapter and state updates and amazing guest speakers. Check upcoming events.

The Sophia Way is located in downtown Bellevue and provides shelter, permanent housing, and supportive services to single adult women as they move toward a stable, independent life. More Info
BPW History
One of the first women's organizations to endorse the Equal Rights Amendment in 1937, BPW has been a successful leader in promoting and supporting legislation affecting working women ever since.
In 1956, BPW members established the BPW Foundation to promote equity for working women nationwide through education, information and research, while providing financial assistance for women seeking to further their education to advance their careers or re-enter the workforce.
BPW is the leading advocate on work-life balance and workplace equity issues.
